Sony postpones PlayStation 5 event

Sony has postponed the PlayStation 5 livestream event, citing the protests taking place recently in the US.

“While we understand gamers worldwide are excited to see PS5 games, we do not feel that right now is a time for celebration and for now, we want to stand back and allow more important voices to be heard,” the company said on Twitter.

The PlayStation 5 livestream was to run for an hour and show new games for the upcoming console for the first time. Sony has not given an exact release date or price for the PlayStation 5 which will launch in holidays in 2020.


Bruce Lee’s new documentary Be Water

ESPN dives into the life and times of the late Bruce Lee in a new documentary, Be Water.

The film explores Lee’s journey into becoming a cultural icon and how Lee dealt with racism throughout his career as he became a leading man in action films.

“I want to think of myself as a human being,” Lee says during an interview where he was asked if he thinks of himself as Chinese or American.

Be Water premiered June 7 at 9 pm ET/PT, on ESPN and ESPN2, and critics are calling a new documentary a “must-watch” for fans and the documentary is named after one of Lee’s philosophies that are core to his outlook on life and martial arts.


Star Wars VR experience for theme park

Lucasfilm announced that it is developing Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge, a new action-adventure virtual reality experience for Disney’s Galaxy’s Edge theme park.

In collaboration with Oculus Studios, the project is set to be released later this year. The game will take place between films The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker and is set on the outskirts of the Black Spire Outpost, on the planet of Batuu. Black Spire Outpost is the location of Galaxy’s Edge, the Star Wars theme park area located at Disneyland Resort in California and Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.

The title will feature both new and iconic Star Wars characters, multiple styles of gameplay and multiple difficulty settings to accommodate all players.
