To some of us, math is a boring subject, but to others, it is the most interesting thing on earth; and people like us wonder how? Whatever the reason, I believe, math should be presented in an interesting and unique way so that those who consider it boring should also find it exciting.
For that reason I found the sites www.expii.com and www.expii.com/solve doing great job in making math fun and easy, not only for kids but for adults too.
The site looks boring at first, although clean and clutter-free, it still lacks animation that would be attractive to kids. To begin with, the home screen greets you with a question, “What would you like to learn today?” and a search bar below it. You can search for topics by keyword or choose from the two main categories ‘Math’ and ‘Science’, given in the centre of the home screen.
Clicking any, divide them further into their sub-categories. You can read short explanations and videos or test yourself with short interesting quizzes. The short explanations and quizzes help you get hooked to solve the questions.
Each topic is explained in multiple ways, this makes it easy for you to understand in your own style. If you think the site is missing a topic in math and science, you can add or share it; but that requires you to register on the site first. Moreover, if you are not in the mood to learn in a traditional way, then www.expii.com/solve is your thing. Solve is completely a different page of the main site discussed above. Solve is fun, thought-provoking and interactive math puzzles shown through current events and pop culture which are designed to relate to your life.
When the page opens, you will see the lists of hundreds of puzzles from a diverse range of topics such as radio transmission, music, earth day, automobile, climate change, number theory, star wars, dairy land and many more. They all encourage your grey cells to think and unravel the answer. So, what are you waiting for?
