LARKANA: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Larkana on Thursday announced results of the annual examination for Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) Part-II (Class-XII) in pre-medical, pre-engineering, humanities and commerce groups.

According to a board’s handout, in pre-medical group, 21,380 candidates appeared in the exams and only 2,408 could clinch A-1 grade while 2,404 got A group. It also states that 7,017 got B grade, 4,579 C grade, 427 D grade while 3735 candidates had failed in all subjects.

In pre-engineering group, 13,711 candidates appeared and only 1,303 secured A-1 grade while 1,559 grabbed A-grade, 4,054 B grade, 3,121 C grade and 484 got D grade.

In humanities group, some 2,461 candidates appeared, but no one could clinch A-1 grade while only 11 got A grade, 219 B grade, 793 C grade, 543 D grade and 33 were placed in E grade.

In commerce group, only 490 candidates appeared and only 22 got A-1 grade, 20 A grade, 52 B grade, 81 C grade and 29 D grade. The result of two candidates was withheld on the charges of alleged cheating in the examination.

In pre-medical group, the first and second positions went to Salman Ahmed Shaikh and Abdullah of Cadet College Larkana while Adnan Aziz Soomro of Government Higher Secondary School Kakar got the third position.

In pre-engineering group, Jawad Hussain Channa of Cadet College Larkana got the first position and Junaid Ahmed Baloch of Government Degree College Larkana obtained the second position while Abrar Saleem Awan of Government Degree College Kandhkot secured the third position.

In humanities group, Samreen Qasim Khajar of Government Girls Degree College Larkana stood first while Murk Memon of Government Girls College Larkana stood second while Mehmood Mian Hassan of Government Higher Secondary School Khanpur clinched the third position.

In commerce group, the first position went to Zoha Hakro of Shah Latif College Shikarpur and the second to Noman Abbasi of Government Arts and Commerce College Larkana second while Faizan Fareed of Shah Latif College Shikarpur grabbed the third.
