Harry Styles won’t play Prince Eric in Little Mermaid

Fans of Harry Styles will be disappointed to know that pop music star and occasional actor is reported to not be playing the role of Prince Eric in the live-action remake of Disney’s The Little Mermaid.

Styles had been in talks to play the part for about a month, but sources confirmed he is no longer in negotiations with Disney.

“While he is a fan of the project, he has respectfully declined the offer,” another source said.

However, other cast remains the same including Halle Bailey as the titular heroine, which re-imagines the 1989 cartoon classic.
