Pakistan Peoples Party MNA Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah said at the inauguration ceremony of the complex that Dr Adibul Hasan Rizvi had set a high example in the field of selfless service to humanity. He said that Dr Adib had dedicated his life to humanity.

Mr Shah said that SIUT was the best institution where people suffering from renal diseases were being provided quality treatment and even transplantation if it was needed.

He said that there was serious need for establishing more institutions on the pattern of SIUT and claimed that politics was also another way of serving people.

Earlier, people had to bear huge expenses on travel to Karachi for the treatment of renal diseases and two to three persons had to accompany a patient but now all such facilities had been made available in Sukkur, he said.

He said that in the first phase, patients’ check-up and dialyses procedure was started and now kidney transplantation facility was being inaugurated which had been built at a cost of Rs260 million.
