KASUR: Two persons were killed in as many train-related incidents on Wednesday in the jurisdiction of the Pattoki police.

In the first incident, Muhammad Moazzam came under the Allama Iqbal Express while crossing the railway line near Gahlan Phattak.

The police shifted the body to the Pattoki Tehsil Headquarters Hospital for an autopsy.

In the second incident, Muhammad Munir, of Pakpattan, fell from the fast moving train near Habibabad and died.

The police sent the body to the Pattoki THQ Hospital and were looking into the matter.

BAD MEAT: The Changa Manga police arrested five people and seized 50 maunds of substandard meat and four dead buffaloes from a house in Chak No 18. The beef was to be supplied to eateries in Lahore and Kasur.

The police arrested Nawabdin, Abdul Sattar, Sarwar Ali, Ashraf and Sajjad Lala.They had been in the business for several years.
