1,625-foot inflatable obstacle course is world’s largest

Guinness World Records announced the world’s largest inflatable obstacle course measures 1,625.72 feet long and is dubbed ‘The Beast’.

The record-keeping organisation said The Beast, designed by Hold My Shoes and V-Formation, was officially measured after making its debut in Belgium last year.

The course, which features 60 challenge sections and five wipe-out obstacles at the end, has already visited Britain for a three-day stay in Betteshanger Country Park near Deal, England. The obstacle course is also slated to visit Australia, Japan, Brazil and several other countries.

“We started off by making our first parts years ago based on a simple connector idea so we could easily attach new pieces. After doing that, we just wanted to make new themes, so we decided to make each track unique, one of a kind,” Hold My Shoes founder Benedikt De Vreese said.

He said the course kept growing until it became so large they decided to seek out a Guinness World Record.

Inventor makes breakfast-cooking machine out of Lego bricks

A YouTuber with a talent for using Lego bricks to create unusual inventions shared video of his latest creation — a breakfast-cooking machine.

Iouri Petou­khov, The Brick Wall on YouTube, posted a video to the site showing the breakfast-making machine he created for his father. Petoukhov said the machine, which is seen cooking in the video, is primarily composed of Lego pieces.

“My father cooks breakfast every Saturday and Sunday — it is 104 times a year! He deserved this present,” he wrote.

A gorilla in love – with a camera

Richard, the gorilla has become well-known for his smouldering poses, where he pouts for the lens and flashes his muscles. And naturally, his striking images have gained him an army of online fans.

Captured by photographer Lucie Stepnicková, Richard is seen leaning against a wall and winking at the camera like an absolute hero. In another, he shows off his best ‘I didn’t see you there’ shocked face.

Lucie, who has been photographing Richard for more than a decade at his home in Prague zoo, said: “Richard is very human-like in his appearance. His unusual look has made him very popular on social media — people seem to think he is quite handsome. He is definitely my favourite subject to photograph.”
