Play sports, not virtual games

This is regarding the article “Play sports, not virtual games” by Ahmed Rashdi (YW, March 10). I agree with the views of the writer as they were quite valid. Online games have led to bad habits in children, such as temperamental problems.

They lose temper quickly and, at times, also misbehave when stopped from playing or interrupted. Parents even face difficulty in assigning any task or household chores to them.

Schools should focus more on sports activities for the physical fitness of students. There were days when schools used to produce great players in different sports. Playing sports also teaches how to deal with others and develop management skills.

The right to be quiet

This is regarding the cover story “The right to be quiet” by Sandhya Karamat Barlaas (YW, January 27). It was a motivational article for introverts.

The writer rightly mentioned that both introverts and extroverts make society complete, and both types of people are important in their own way. So, we should not discourage those who speak less and listen more or those who speak too much and listen less.

The real me

This is with reference to the story “The real me” by Sidra Hafeez (YW, March 3).

The story depicted how a person is different from the others in several ways.

God has given distinct thoughts, insight, feelings and skills to each human, but when a person thinks that they do not fit in society, they try to change and this is where personality crisis takes place, resulting in stress.

It is always better to accept the person you are and not try to change according to the society and people around you.
