CHARSADDA: Traders blocked the motorway link road at Farooq Azam Chowk here on Thursday to record their protest against the growing robbery incidents in Charsadda bazaar.

The traders organisation had given the call for protest against snatching of Rs4.6 million from a trader at gunpoint in Charsadda bazaar.

The protestors blocked the motorway link road and set tyres on fire at the Farooq Azam Chowk.

They chanted slogans against the district administration for its failure to ensure security to the local shopkeepers and businessmen.

They also announced to shut down their shops and markets in Charsadda bazaar on Friday (today) to demand arrest of the robbers and recovery of the looted money.
