Dwayne Johnson’s adventures in Rampage

Dwayne Johnson takes on a giant, genetically modified wolf and lizard in the second trailer for upcoming action thriller Rampage.

The clip explores Johnson’s friendship with a silverback gorilla named George, who grows to a giant size after coming into contact with a mysterious object. Johnson then fights to protect his friend from the government as it tries to subdue the enraged, but confused animal.

“It’s soon discovered there are other similarly altered animals. As these newly created alpha predators tear across North America, destroying everything in their path, Okoye teams with a discredited genetic engineer to secure an antidote ... to halt a global catastrophe and to save the fearsome creature that was once his friend,” reads the synopsis.

Rampage, based on the video game series of the same name, is directed by Brad Peyton. The film is set to arrive in theatres on April 20.
