SUKKUR: A couple and their minor son were killed on the spot when the motorcycle they were riding was hit by a container-mounted long vehicle near the City Point area late on Saturday evening.

Officials at the Airport police station identified the couple as Fida Hussain, 26, and Imamzadi, 25, but their son remained unidentified. They said the deceased were residents of Jacobabad. They were travelling towards Khairpur when their motorcycle met with the accident on Airport Road, they added.

Another motorcycle following the couple’s was also hit which resulted in injuries to its riders, Sabir Lashari and Abdul Rehman. They were admitted to the Sukkur Civil Hospital for treatment, the police said.

They said the driver of the long vehicle escaped from the site of the accident.
