Knife attacks

Published October 11, 2017

A FRESH wave of fear has gripped Karachi following the stabbing of a number of women.

The attackers target girls and women without veils. So far not a single woman or girl with veil has fallen prey to the knife attackers. This has given birth to several questions that will remain unanswered until the attacker is behind the bars. Some unofficial reports have also considered him mentally unstable.

A large number of girls remain absent from colleges and universities owing to the fear of being the victim of such brutal knife attacks. A fall has been noticed among market-going women, and the number of girls and women with veils has increased sharply.

It is time the police traced the criminals and ensured security of women before more such cases took place.
