HYDERABAD: A large number of students of public and private schools were enthralled by daylong activities in a programme titled ‘Rising Pakistan Children Festival’ held at Mehran Arts Council Latifabad here on Saturday.

The programme was organised by Bazm-i-Sathi Hyderabad and sponsored by the Al-Khidmat Foundation Orphan Care Programme.

The activities were divided into three major segments of speeches, art and drama, while students won gifts by answering questions in Neelam Ghar.

There was also a book fair in which students and teachers took keen interest.

Several teams of 30 public and private schools from 4th to 8 classes participated in amusing and informative activities from morning to evening.

Young actors staged dramas with a single theme of ‘Azeem Hamara Pakistan’

and students delivered eloquent speeches on ‘Is Daur Mai Hai Talim Sei Amraz-i-Millat Ki Dawaa’ and ‘Hum Sei Hai Pakistan’.

The young speakers impressed the audience and received rapturous applause throughout the debate competition.

An art gallery which bristled with subjects ‘Kashmir Banay Ga Pakistan’ and ‘Ilm Sai Hai Roshni’ was also set up where little artists sketched tragic incidents in India-held Kashmir.

There were also some inspiring models and pictures made by students to highlight and promote education and knowledge inculcating a sense of responsibility in cute young readers.

Teachers and parents also enjoyed extracurricular activities and termed them as absolutely imperative for the best growth of children.

Top three winners of the three major segments were awarded shields and certificates by Bazm-i-Sathi Pakistan vice

president Dr Aitzaz Ahmed and Al-Khidmat Foundation Orphan Care Programme Hyderabad director Rao Masood Ali khan.

Talent awards were also conferred upon position holders of the schools by the noted personalities.
