SWABI: A four-year-old girl abducted from Shahmansoor village early on Thursday morning was recovered by the district police and handed over to parents later in the day.

DPO Javid Iqbal told mediapersons that Bahadar Khan of Shahmansor village had registered an FIR in Zaida police station that his four-year-old daughter had been kidnapped.

Police was soon altered across the district and monitoring of all the routes was ordered. The girl was recovered when the abductors were shifting her via Tandkoi-Shahmansoor route. The police also arrested three alleged abductors.

DSP Izhar Shah told Dawn that all the three adductors belonged to Swabi, adding that one of the detainees identified as Rehman Ali was presently residing in Abbottabad. The other two are brothers Anwarullah and Mehraban Shah from Charbagh village.


Three killed in separate incidents


TWO KILLED: Two people were killed in separate incidents here on Thursday.

In Tordher village Sabir Ali told police that unidentified assailants entered their houses and opened fire on the inmates. As a result, he said he was injured while his wife was killed on the spot.

However, police investigated the issue and claimed that Sabir had allegedly killed his wife inside his house and then indulged in firing in the air to give twist to the incident. The police have arrested Sabir.

In Marghuz village, Aamir Nadeem was allegedly shot dead by three brothers Attaur Rehman, Shamsur Rehman and Gohar Rehman.

Registering an FIR in Zaida police station, Adnan Nadeem told police that the cause of the incident was exchange of hot words between Nadeem and the three brothers a few days ago. Police have registered a case.

Meanwhile, Topi city police arrested two people and recovered two kilogrammes of charas from their custody. They were identified as Bilal Khan and Irfan Khan of Peshawar.

EID PACKAGE: Eid packages have been provided to 330 disabled and poor persons in two separate programmes on Thursday.

The first programme was organised by Khidmat-i-Mazooran Tanzeem, Swabi, and the package was provided by Ummah Welfare Trust, Nowshera, to special people.

In the second programme, a local NGO handed over Eid suits and Eid packages to poverty-stricken people and widows belonging to Bamkhel union council.

The suits were arranged by Friends of Bamkel Welfare Organisation.
