MUZAFFARGARH: The Pakistani youth who was accused by a Chinese woman of ditching her after remaining in a relationship with her in China where he was studying medicine, has denied she had been his girlfriend.

Tein Domi alias Dolly, 23, traveled all the way from China to south Punjab town of Seetpur, the native place of Ameen Amjad, to meet her “runaway boyfriend”.She claims she had been supporting him financially while he was studying in her country.

She has been taken into protective custody by police and was being kept at Muzaffargarh Circuit House.

Talking to the media on phone late on Monday, Ameen said he was still in China continuing with his studies there and had only deleted his facebook account that alarmed Dolly who thought he had fled the country.

He claimed he just had a selfie with Dolly and was not in a relationship with her.

He also accused Dolly of stalking him, repeatedly visiting him at the university hostel and disturbing his studies. He denied being financially supported by Dolly who claimed she sold her house to pay Ameen’s college fee.

Ameen claimed he sold his own land in Pakistan to fund his studies abroad.

Meanwhile, Dolly has reportedly grown jittery in the district police custody.

Sources say she tried to snatch cameras from the photojournalists who wanted her picture. They say she was insisting on staying in Pakistan and meeting with her “boyfriend”.
