DERA MURAD JAMALI: A group of men kidnapped two truck drivers from Bakhtairabad and Baghbana areas of Khuzdar and Lehri districts on Tuesday.

According to sources, a truck carrying coal to a destination in Sindh from Quetta was intercepted by the armed men on the National Highway near Bakhtairabad area of Lehri district and forced the driver to go with them.

The driver, identified as Asmatullah Kakar, could not be traced, said a Levies official. However, every effort was being made to trace him, he added.

The area from where the driver was kidnapped had become a flash point where armed groups easily move without any fear of law enforces.

During the last couple of months, a large number of truck drivers had been kidnapped from this point and released after payment of ransom.

Our Khuzdar Correspondent says that a group of armed men blocked the National Highway near Baghbana area of Khuzdar district late on Monday night, intercepted a truck and kidnapped its driver Muhammad Ramzan. He was on way to Khuzdar.

Security personnel have yet to trace whereabouts of the kidnapped driver.
