MANSEHRA: Civil society activists, traders, lawyers, political workers and journalists of Balakot on Saturday took out a rally against killing of newsman, Ibrar Tanoli.

The participants, holding banners and placards, marched on various roads and converged at Madian market.

Balakot Press Club president Qudus Butt, Pakistan Muslim League-N, Balakot president Mohammad Rustam Khan, Pakistan People’s Party, Balakot president Asif Khan, traders body president Sardar Abdul Qudus, transport union president Raja Tahir Nawaz and tehsil bar president Hameedul Haq Owasi were prominent among the participants.

“We cannot forget the support extended by journalists’ community in highlighting our plight in the wake of the October 8, 2005 devastating earthquake and Ibrar Tanoli was at the forefront in this regard,” said trader’s body president Mr Abdul Qudus, while speaking on the occasion.
