KARACHI: Hyderabad remained shrouded in thick fog on Monday curtailing the visibility to almost one-third of the normal and seriously affecting public activities throughout the day, a meteorological official said.

Responding to Dawn queries, the met official added that it was a misty morning in Hyderabad with the visibility being recorded at the airport at three kilometres as against the normal visibility of six kilometres.

However, the visibility further dropped to two kilometres as dust mixed with fog turned the situation too hazy.

He said that the visibility remained two kilometres till the last report at 5pm.

He said that the problem of fog was due to the cold weather and the situation was expected to remain same on Tuesday.
