SHAISTA Zaid bade farewell to news reading on radio and television after over 40 years.

She read her last bulletin on Pakistan Television the other day while she had left Radio Pakistan a couple of years ago for health reasons.

Ms Zaid, in my opinion, is a national asset and fully deserves to be honoured by the two national broadcasting institutions and also by the state in a befitting manner.
