KARACHI: Mohsin Ali passes away

KARACHI, May 23: Former director of Pakistan Television and a prominent TV producer, Syed Mohsin Ali, died after a prolonged illness in Karachi on Friday. He was 62.

Syed Mohsin Ali joined PTV in 1967. He produced a number of popular TV dramas. Prominent among those are Taabeer, Kiran Kahani, Shahzori, Uncle Urfi, Shaheen and Jinnah Se Quaid.

Syed Mohsin Ali received the President’s Pride of Performance award, while PTV gave him the life-time achievement award for his outstanding performance.

Syed Mohsin Ali was buried at Milk Plant Graveyard on Friday evening.

Soyem will be held at Masjid Ahbab, Nazimabad. For women, arrangement has been made at III C- 2/9 Nazimabad. —APP
