ISLAMABAD, Feb 1: The Rawalpindi chapter of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has arrested Tanveer Hussain Manji, the director of Vita Pakistan Ltd, for causing Rs160 million loss to the national exchequer in the Tawana Pakistan Project of the defunct ministry of social welfare. The amount was allegedly embezzled in the award of contract of milk to M/s EM-5 Nutraceutical Pvt Ltd.

Mr Manji was also accused of being involved in bungling in supply of grain to M/s Vita Pakistan Limited and M/s Chen Foundation.

His arrest warrant was issued on the directive of NAB Chairman Admiral (retd) Fasih Bokhari. He was produced before the Accountability Court on Friday.
