Fuel prices may be raised

ISLAMABAD, Oct 6: Prices of petrol and CNG are likely to be increased on Sunday by Rs3.04 per litre and Rs2.50 per kilogram for the next week.

However, the price of High Speed Diesel (HSD) may be reduced by Rs2.70.

According to a summary moved by the Petroleum Ministry to the Ministry of Finance on Saturday, kerosene and Light Diesel Oil (LDO) are also expected to become costlier.

The calculations made by the Pakistan State Oil suggest that the price of petrol be raised from Rs102.45 per litre to Rs105.49.

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority has suggested to the federal government to keep the price of petrol unchanged by adjusting the hike in petroleum levy to provide relief to consumers.
