KARACHI, Sept 30: Two men were killed separately on Sunday in the North Karachi and old city areas.

In the first incident, a barber was shot dead by unidentified assailants in North Karachi, within the remit of the Sir Syed police station.

Police said the attackers barged into a barber shop near Anda Mor and opened fire. The owner of the shop, Mohammad Sattar, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and died before he could be taken to hospital. The body was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.

Mohammad Imran, 30, was shot dead in the old city area.

Police said that he was killed near Ghas Mandi, within the remit of the Kalakot police station.

Imran was rushed to the Civil Hospital Karachi, where he died during treatment. “The victim, identified as 30-year-old Mohammad Imran, was shot in his right shoulder,” said SP Sarfaraz Nawaz. “He was Gujrati speaking.”
