ISLAMABAD, Aug 15: A woman was gunned down in capital’s rural area here on Wednesday, police said.

The victim Shariala Bibi, 38, came over to her parents’ house in Madina Colony at Tarnol. After half an hour form her arrival she went outside the house and shortly after the family heard gunshots.

In response they rushed outside the house and found the victim lying in a pool of blood.

Later the police were informed and she was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The police said that the motive behind the murder was yet to be established and the family yet to be alleged anyone behind the killing.
