ISLAMABAD, July 9: Special children excelled in the secondary school certificate (SSC) annual examination 2012 held under the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE).

A total 24 students - 13 boys and 11 girls - had appeared in the exam from National Special Education Centre for Hearing Impaired Children, H-9, and all of them were declared pass.

Sana Ashraf scored 852 and got first position; Sehar Rubbab with 787 marks remained second while Marryam Rafique obtained 780 marks and grabbed the third position.

As many as 11 students from National Special Education Centre for Visually Impaired Children appeared in the exams and the results of the centre remained 99 per cent. Amna Azhar scored 841 marks and grabbed the first position; Mohammad Fareedul Hassan scored 773 marks and clinched the second position while Tahira Kausar with 765 marks remained third.

A total of nine students appeared in the examination from National Special Education Centre for Physically Handicapped Children and 89 per cent of them passed the exam. Kamran Khan obtained 683 marks and remained first in the centre.
