DADU, June 8: Pakistan Muslim League-N leader Liaquat Ali Jatoi has said the Chief Justice of Pakistan is being punished by the corrupt for his struggle against corruption in high places.

Talking to journalists here on Friday, Mr Jatoi said these elements had started a mud-slinging campaign against Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry and members of his family.

He criticised Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani for undertaking visits to other countries even after his conviction by the court.

He said the terrorists who had attacked Awami Tehrik rally in Karachi on May 21 had not been arrested yet.

Mr Jatoi accused the PPP of acting against Sindh and its people. He claimed that more prominent personalities from Sindh would join PML-N and Nawaz Sharif would address a public gathering in Sehwan on July 22.
