HYDERABAD, Jan 6: The senior vice-president of the Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Turab Ali Khwaja, has said that no development works  has been carried out at the Hyderabad airport during the last 37 years and added that even cargo service is not available.

Speaking at a meeting of the chamber’s sub-committee on airport, he demanded that airport development tax should be spent on the modernisation of the infrastructure of the airport.

With the modernisation of airport, seasonal fruits as well as vegetables and roses could also be exported directly from Hyderabad, he said.
