TIMERGARA, May 19: The elementary and secondary education department has posted 11 assistant district officers, who were recently appointed by the provincial Public Service Commission, in Lower Dir. According to a notification issued by Executive District Officer Hafiz Mohammad Ibrahim, Ali Haidar has been appointed at establishment branch of the department, Bakht Zada at planning and development, Mohammad Islam at establishment, Akbar Ali at Kumbar circle, Mohammad Khitab at Talash circle, Mohammad Tahir at Timergara circle, Zahirud Din at Chakdara circle, Nasrullah at Haya Serai, Raza Shah at Kitiari, Hidayatullah at Samar Bagh and Imtiaz Khan has been appointed as ADO of Munda circle.

The EDO told journalists that induction of those officers would have positive impacts on educational system in the district. He said that the ADOs appointed by PSC were competent and hard working. They would bring drastic changes in the existing system, he hoped.

WAPDA UNION: The Pakistan Wapda Hydro Union has demanded a special package for those employees, who are working in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The demand was made during a farewell function held here on Wednesday in the hounour of recently retired zonal chief Sahibzada Mohammad Lateef.

Speaking on the occasion provincial chairman of Wapda Hydro Union Mustajab Khan, zonal chairman Yousaf Khan, Khan Shehzada and Tariq Khan said that Wapda employees in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were facing life threats owing to firefights, shelling and bomb blasts in the province. They said that government should announce a special package for Wapda workers, appointed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. —Correspondent
