KHAIRPUR, April 29: Three men were killed in an ambush in the Trimohi area near here on Thursday evening. Wazir Lashari, Nasrullah Shar and Ghulam Shabbir Jagirani were going to their village from Hussainabad on a motorcycle when some unidentified armed men opened fire on them.

As a result Wazir Lashari and Nasrullah Shar died on the spot and Ghulam Shabbir was seriously injured. He was taken to Civil Hospital Khairpur where he died.

Police told reporters on Friday that the FIR of triple murder was lodged against Taju, Haidroo, Yaqoob, Waheed, Manzoor, Jeando, Kamal and seven others, all Katohar by caste. Tension has gripped the area since the incident. DPO Khairpur Irfan Ali Baloch has ordered establishment of a police picket in the area to prevent any untoward incident.
