LAHORE, April 11: Rangers claim to have arrested an alleged smuggler and recovered from him three kilo heroin and fake Indian currency worth Rs1.15 million.

According to a press release, Pakistan Rangers (Punjab) received an information that some anti-state elements were involved in illegal activities in the Kanganpur area.

Late on Sunday night, officials stopped a car at a picket near Head Sattoki and seized narcotics and fake Indian currency from it.

The suspect, whose identity and nationality has not yet been disclosed, was taken into custody.

Further investigation is under way.
