GUJRAT: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf President Chaudhry Parvez Elahi’s meeting with a delegation of his supporters from Gujrat was postponed on Tuesday due to his health condition.

Sources close to the PTI president told Dawn that some delegations of party supporters from Gujrat were scheduled to see him at his Zahoor Elahi House residence in Gulberg, Lahore, but they were told on Monday night by the staff of the former CM about the postponement of the meeting.

Sheikh Shekaz Aslam, a former Kunjah union council nazim, considered to be close to Elahi family, said the health condition of his leader was not so good even when he met him after his release and the PTI leader might take at least a couple of more weeks to get into the stable condition. However, he said, Parvez Elahi might visit Gujrat on Eidul Azha.

Some delegations met Parvez on Monday after which his condition deteriorated and it was decided by the family to avoid such meetings to ensure maximum rest and relaxation for the politician.
