KARACHI, March 25: A young milkman was shot dead in the Korangi area on Friday, police said. They said the milkman, 28-year-old Imran Arif, was targeted near Veeta Chowrangi in Sector 34 of the Korangi Industrial Area when he was going on a motorcycle to deliver milk to his customers.

“Two men on a motorbike intercepted Mr Arif and one of them fired at him,” said an official at the Korangi police station.

“He sustained three bullet wounds and died on the spot. The attackers rode away in a flash.” He said the victim hailed from Okara and had been living in Sector 35-F near Zaman Town in Korangi.

The police believed that he was killed due to some personal enmity.

Bullet-riddled body found

A man was found shot dead in the Landhi area on Friday, police said.

The police said that the body of 32-year-old Fazl-i-Haq was found in Railway Ground in the Landhi area. He sustained a single bullet wound in the head, they added.

“The victim was a resident of Quaidabad and the family denied any enmity between the victim and any individual or a group,” said an official at the Shah Latif police station.

Man shot dead in Mauripur

Gunmen shot dead a youngster inside his Mauripur home on Friday.

Quoting the statement of the victim’s mother, the Mauripur police said that her son, Siddiq Usman, was sleeping in his home when two men knocked at the door. She went to open the door and saw that one of the men fire at her son from the window of his room.

The man fired multiple shots and escaped along with his accomplice.

The police said that Usman sustained two bullet wounds and died on the spot.

They said the victim was employed at a jewellery shop. The motive as well as the people behind the murder remained unclear, the police said.
