HYDERABAD, Aug 2: A large number of SPSF activists staged a protest demonstration outside the Hyderabad Press Club on Friday against the registration of false cases against Ms Benazir Bhutto, Asif Ali Zardari, and Hakim Ali Zardari and the ban on the return of Ms Bhutto to her motherland.

The SPSF activists were led by Haji Mohammed Amin Lakho.

Addressing the rally, Mr Lakho and the SPSF district president, Sattar Gharano said that the PPP workers were prepared to throw out the generals from the corridors of powers and they would not spare any sacrifices regarding it.

They said that if the generals were not prepared to respect the opinion of the masses, then the masses would also defy the black laws introduced by the generals.

They claimed that it was an established fact that Ms Benazir Bhutto alone could save the country.

They warned the rulers that if they did not lift the ban on the entry of Ms Bhutto, they would be washed away in the flood of the masses.

They said that on the one hand billions of rupees had been spent on the fake referendum and on the other the government had failed to plug the Rohri canal breach which had destroyed 40 villages and standing crops over a 1,000 acres.

They demanded that false cases against the PPP leaders should be withdrawn and Ms Bhutto should be allowed to return to Pakistan.

ZEAL PAK EMPLOYEES: A dozen former employees of the Zeal Pak Cement Factory continued their token hunger strike outside the Hyderabad press club on the 19th consecutive day on Friday.

They were protesting against the non-payment of their outstanding dues.

Severely criticizing the callous attitude of the government towards the employees, they said that they had waited for 32 months for the payment of their outstanding dues but the government had failed to take any action against the factory management and the former CBA union general secretary who had cheated the employees to the tune of tens of millions of rupees.
