LARKANA, Nov 8: The Sindh High Court, Larkana circuit bench, has issued notices to the Larkana DPO and the SHO Dhamraho to appear in the court on Nov 10 in connection with a petition alleging extra-judicial killing.

Petitioner Lal Bakhsh Jatoi said that he and Umar Jatoi had been arrested from their house on Oct 22 and kept in illegal confinement for two days at unknown police station after being transported blindfolded.

On Oct 24, Saddar TPO Ghulam Abbas Gadhi and Dhamraho SHO Ali Raza Shah took them to Umar Umrani village on the Arijo-Bero Chandio road.

The petitioner said that Umar Jatoi was forcibly taken from the vehicle and killed.

Saeen Rakhiyo and Ali Dost Jatoi are witness to the incident, he said.

The body of Umar Jatoi was shifted to the Dhamraho police station and a false FIR of a police encounter was lodged.

The petitioner said that he was kept in wrongful confinement and released on Nov 2 with threats to keep quite.

He said the accused had committed extra-judicial killing and misused their official powers.

The petitioner prayed that the DPO Larkana and the SHO Dhamraho should be asked to register the FIR against the proposed accused in respect of the murder of Ghulam Umar Jatoi.
