KHAIRPUR, June 25: Jeay Sindh Qaumi Movement chairman Bashir Khan Qureshi has criticized the government for not ensuring the availability of drinking water in some parts of Sindh.

He was speaking at the death anniversary of JSQM leader Faheem Memon in Hingorja, Sobhodero taluka, on Thursday evening.

Mr Qureshi said that the Muttahida Qaumi Movement should support Sindh in its struggle for water. He said that a strike would be observed on June 27 against the water shortage in Sindh.

He alleged that Sindh districts had been distributed among feudal lords and spiritual leaders and the Sindh government was protecting their interests. He said that Sindh had been turned in a police state.

JSQM general secretary Abdul Wahid Arisar said that feudal lords of Sindh were agents provocateurs but the people would not tolerate any conspiracy against their sacred soil.
