HYDERABAD, March 26: The Pakistan Oppressed Nations Movement’s Sindh Unity Council at a meeting held here on Friday appointed several committees at district-level to ensure success of the strike on March 31. The meeting, presided over by Dr Qadir Magsi, asked the committees to contact traders’ organizations and transporters to request them to observe a strike on March 31. Ponam general- secretary Syed Jalal Mehmood Shah, Jeay Sindh Mahaz-Z chairman Syed Zain Shah and others attended the meeting. Ponam has given the country-wide shutter-down and wheel-jam strike call against Kalabagh dam and greater Thal canal projects, army operations in Balochistan and Waziristan, establishment of cantonments in Balochistan, Gwadar port project and alleged hegemony of Punjab.
