ISLAMABAD, March 4: Jailed president of the Alliance for the Restoration of Democracy (ARD) Makhdoom Javed Hashmi will be taken to Lahore on Saturday for appearance in an accountability court, a source told Dawn on Friday.

The source said Mr Hashmi would be taken to Lahore in a PIA flight at 7:30am and he would be brought back to Adiala Jail at 4:30pm in another flight.

Mr Hashmi, who is also the acting president of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), will appear before an accountability court in Lahore in connection with the hearing of a case concerning keeping of assets beyond his known source of income.
