Police said that the body of a child, aged around eight years, was recovered from bushes near ‘Tent City’ established for the flood-affectees at Link Road. The corpse was shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medico-legal formalities.

The officer said that the boy belonged to a flood-affected family. He had left his home in Tent City on June 11 to sell chips but could not return home at night.

Next day, his mother lodged a report at Steel Town police station about his missing.
