Pakistan completes UNSC term

ISLAMABAD, Dec 31: Pakistan on Friday completed its two-year term on the United Nations Security Council. Pakistan, Angola, Chile, Germany and Spain were elected in September 2002 and their term began on Jan 1, 2003.

"We complete the Security Council term secure in the belief that Pakistan made a substantive contribution to the cause of international peace and security, consistent with our high ideals and commitment to the Charter principles," said a statement released by the Foreign Office. -APP
