SUKKUR, Nov 30: Three people were killed and eight were injured in an armed clash between two groups of the Shar tribe near Daharki, Khenjoo police station jurisdiction, on Tuesday. The clash followed two incidents of motorcycle robbery.

Hussain Shar was going to his home on a motorcycle when some people deprived him of the bike at gunpoint. In retaliation, armed persons of the Hussain Shar group snatched a motorcycle and Kalashnikov from Abdul Karim Shar who was on way to Reti.

Later, supporters of Abdul Karim attacked the village of their rivals and opened fire, killing Janan Shar and injuring Ali Gohar Shar. In the exchange of fire, Shahzado Shar and Abdullah Shar also were killed.

The injured included Mustafa, Manzoor, Gaman and Hayat. There is tension in the area as both groups are confronting each other. No case was registered till the filing of this report.

LANDMINE: One person was killed and another was injured when their tractor ran over a landmine in the Ghulam Hussain Mazari village, seven kilometres off Kashmor, on the Sindh-Balochistan border on Tuesday morning.

The man killed was identified as Jehanan, the tractor driver. The injured, Gul Bahar, was taken to a local hospital from where he was shifted to a hospital in Rahim Yar Khan because of his critical condition.
