MANDI BAHAUDDIN, Sept 29: The Rangers are fully trained to defend the country's frontiers, according to the Pakistan Rangers (Punjab) director-general, Maj-Gen Husain Mehdi.

At the annual passing out parade at the Pakistan Rangers Academy on Wednesday, he iterated that jawans had always remained on the frontline in the national defence. He greeted the officials for passing out the initial training.

The academy commandant, Col Ahmad Yar Bhatti, DCO Abdus Sattar and DPO Waqar Haider were also present. The best performance medal was given to Khalil Ahmad (Khalid company), academy medal to Abbas Ali (Tariq Company), assault medal to Hassan Khan (Khalid Company), physical training medal to Inspector Sajjad Ahmad and small arm firing medal to Kashif Sheeraz. 'Husain banner' was given to the Haider company while Sohaib Arshad was awarded 'senior perfect award.'
