GUJRANWALA: Robbers on the rampage

GUJRANWALA, Sept 16: Dacoits looted three houses, a general store and took away two cars and as many motorcycles in eight strikes in and around the city here on Thursday.

Four outlaws forced their entry into the house of Sheikh Nadim Ahmad in Joreywala village. They locked the inmates in a room and took away cash, gold ornaments and other valuables.

Three bandits entered the house of Sanaullah at Dhariwal village. They tied the inmates with ropes, collected jewellery, Rs60,000 in cash and escaped. Six dacoits stormed into the house of Muhammad Altaf in Baghbanpura, held the family members hostage and made off with Rs145,000 and jewellery.

Meanwhile, six robbers broke into a general store of Muhammad Tariq on the Qaddafi Road and took away cash and other valuables. Some gangsters intercepted Muhammad Usman of Faisal Town when he was on his way by his car (LZD-4252) and drove away with the vehicle.

Three robbers stopped Zubair Ahmad on the Sialkot Road and took away his car (LHV-8437). Muhammad Imran of Satellite Town and Muhammad Akbar of Mandiala Warriach were deprived of their motorcycles when they were on their way home from city.
