BEIJING, July 1: Interior Minister Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat will arrive in Beijing on Friday on a four-day official visit to China. He will meet senior officials of the Chinese government to discuss matters of bilateral interest.

Official sources told APP that the visit is aimed at strengthening dialogue and cooperation between the two countries in the non-traditional security field, including anti-terrorism, narcotics trafficking, illegal immigration and illegal border trade.

The two sides will also discuss matters relating to the extradition treaty signed between the two sides last year.

A senior Chinese official said that the Chinese leadership attaches great importance to Sino-Pakistani relations and will continue work with Pakistan to push forward comprehensive partnership in all fields of bilateral interest. China highly appreciates Pakistan's campaign against terrorism.-APP
