GUJRANWALA, Feb 18: The Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce and Industry expressed concern on Rs25 million shortfall of social security and urged industrialists to pay their dues.

Chamber president Sheikh Shaukat Javed said at a meeting here on Wednesday that the government implemented new industrial policy on July 1 last. About 5,407 forms were delivered to industrial units through the chamber to clear outstanding dues till Dec 31. Only 196 of them returned the forms following clearing their dues.

Meanwhile, chamber senior vice-president Sheikh Muhammad Ali demanded that the Gujranwala to Lahore road should be constructed on priority basis. He claimed that the National Highway Authority failed to build the road despite chief minister's directive.
