LAHORE, Feb 25: The Pakistan People’s Party leaders on Wednesday termed the Punjab Assembly session unconstitutional and unlawful.

Commenting on the convening of the provincial assembly’s evening session by the PML-N in the aftermath of disqualification of Sharif brothers, Federal Minister for Industries and Production Manzoor Wattoo, former senior minister Raja Riaz, PPP provincial president Rana Aftab and stalwart Naveed Chaudhary told APP on Wednesday evening that according to the Constitution and rules of procedure of the Punjab Assembly 2007, house could not discuss the judiciary’s conduct, nor hold a debate on the judgment of any court, including the apex court.

They said convening of the session after the enforcement of Governor’s Rule was unconstitutional, unlawful and the resolution adopted in the house ‘in an ugly and undemocratic’ manner was absolutely without any lawful authority.
