MUZAFFARGARH, Sept 25: The fourth death anniversary of the veteran politician, Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan, is being observed separately by his sons who joined rival political camps following his death on Sept 26, 2003.

Nawabzada Mansoor Ahmad, who now heads the Pakistan Democratic Party, founded by his late father, and now a component of the All Pakistan Democratic Movement, observed the death anniversary On Sept 24 at a simple ceremony attended only by close relatives, sans his brothers, at his saif Nagar residence at Khan Garh.

However, he told Dawn by telephone that he planned to hold a big gathering in Lahore on Sept 27 (tomorrow) to mark his father’s death anniversary.

The three other sons of the late politician — Nawabazad Iftikhar, Nawabzada Israr and Nawabzada Ibrar– having political affiliation with PML-Q, will observe their father’s anniversary at Khan Garh on Sept 26 (today).

According to sources privy to the Nawabzadas, the ceremony will be attended by a `large number’ of PML-Q leaders and workers.
