HYDERABAD, Aug 1: An amount of Rs250 million has been allocated in the current budget to provide better health facilities to people, said District Nazim Hyderabad Kanwar Naveed Jamil.

He said the amount much more than Rs70 million allocated by the previous district government for the undivided district of Hyderabad.

Ventilators were also being provided, a facility not available even in all private hospitals, he said and added that the construction of six new hospitals was a real breakthrough in health sector.

District Nazim was speaking at the foundation stone laying ceremony of Mother and Childcare Centre at Liaquat Colony. City Taluka Nazim Javed Jabbar, Naib Nazim Ghulam Shabbar Chishti, Chairman District Health Committee Arif Razmi, Nazims and councillors of the area, officials of district government and elite of the locality attended the ceremony.
