KHAIRPUR, July 5: A large number of teachers, heads of different associations, clerical and other staff of the Education Department Khairpur took out a procession from Therhi Phatak on Thursday in protest against the suspected kidnapping of District Officer Education (Elementary). They raised slogans against the administration and police of Sukkur district.

The EDO Khairpur Sikandar Shah, PTA leader Asadullah Memon and others apprehended that the DO, Ms Qamar Jahan Pathan was kidnapped from Sukkur on June 23, while on way home from a bank.

They complained that the police and district administration Sukkur did not make efforts for her recovery as they were not interested in the matter. They threatened to widen their protest if the DO education was not recovered in a week.
