MARDAN, May 7: The body of an unidentified woman was recovered from a canal in the Saddar police station area, while a man committed suicide in the Lundkhwar village during the past 24 hours here.
Police said the woman’s body was recovered from a canal near Maho Narai. The woman’s identity could not be ascertained.
In the Lundkhwar village, which is 25km from here, one Hamidullah committed suicide in his house on Sunday. His brother told police that they were not aware of the reasons behind his suicide. But they added that the deceased used to remain distraught and sad after the death of his wife two months ago.
