HYDERABAD, March 22: District Nazim Kanwar Naveed Jamil has said that the district government is concentrating on developing the areas neglected in the past and added that backward areas of Affandi Town, Hali Road and American Quarters will soon be brought at par with developed areas of the city. He was speaking at a function at Purdah Park on Wednesday night, which was held to highlight the construction of roads and laying of sewerage lines which will cater to the needs of the people of the hitherto neglected areas. He said due to the collapse of sewerage system in Hali Road, Kali Road, American Quarters, Liaquat Ashraf Colony and adjoining areas, rains had become a cause of fear for the residents.
